MDOT SHA Elkton Shop in Cecil County is soliciting bids for overhead door maintenance across its 3 facilities in this county. There is a total of 32 overhead doors. . Door sizes run from 8’ x 10’ to 20’ to 13’. The blanket purchase order will be for a 3 year period. There are three parts to the price form. 1) Hourly pricing for maintenance work outside of the semiannual inspection. There is a rate for your mechnaic / technicial and your helper for jobs that require the assistance of a second persion. Jobs that require a helper need SHA's preapproval. Please don't send a 2-people every repair trip. Most routine work will finish by 3PM. The second price is for an emergency breakdown / after hours call (after 3PM or on the weekends). We don't anticipate using this, but wanted to list it as an option for you to charge a higher price outside of normal business hours at this facility. We are early birds, you can start working as early as 6:30 AM, but don't have to. 2) the second major type of price is the lump sum cost for inspection and light preventative mainteannce of all overhead doors. This is one lump sum to do all 32 doors across all 3 facilities. This will be done semi-annually (twice a year) for a total of 6 services across the 3 year period. 3) The final major price is direct materials and supplies markup. Choose a materials and supply markup between 0% (at cost) and 10% gross margin on parts. SHA may ask to see receipts or commerical invoice to verify markup. This helps us better compare bidders on an evan playing field. There is no subcontracting. The past version of this contract had man-door maintenance. That has been removed for this IFB. Now, it's just overhead doors to make a better fit for overhead door vendors' offerings / specialization.
