    Description

    The project includes streetscape improvements and full curb-to-curb roadway resurfacing along C.R. 17 (Carleton Avenue) from Clayton Street to C.R. 100 (East Suffolk Avenue), with improvements at the Smith Street intersection. Work consists of removing and replacing curbs, sidewalks, driveway aprons, curb ramps, lighting, signage, and select trees. Proposed work includes installing new sidewalks, curb ramps, drainage structures, street trees, planting areas, pedestrian lighting, pavement markings, and gateway elements. Existing traffic signals will be upgraded with accessible pedestrian features at Clayton St. and Second Ave. This project is a NYS Grant Funded project and there are additional requirements of the Contractor in the “NYS Contract Grant Requirements” Section of this contract that must be complied with.
