    Description

This project aims to reduce tobacco-related disparities among African American males, ages twelve and older, in the Mississippi Delta River Region. By using a community-based participatory approach, the program seeks to build trust and engage local stakeholders as equal partners in prevention, cessation, and advocacy efforts. Through partnerships, community-based organizations, and other key leaders, the initiative will deliver consistent outreach, educational sessions, and tailored cessation resources like the MS Quitline.

Vendors will play an essential role in helping bring this vision to life by supporting culturally relevant outreach strategies, events, and materials that resonate with the community. The project’s success will be measured not only by participation and resource distribution but also by its ability to empower local organizations, raise awareness, and create lasting change in how tobacco use is addressed in the Delta.
