Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time. To work in conjunction with a pre-selected medical light vendor and the Upstate Medical University construction crew to support the installation of new surgical lights in two labor and delivery rooms at Community Hospital. The General contractor will be responsible for the electrical disconnections and new electrical work and connections necessary for the new surgical lights to function properly. Coordination with the surgical light vendor will be critical as they will be responsible for the removal of the existing lights and mounting the new lights in their place. The General Contractor will be responsible for all necessary labor, material and equipment as identified in the construction documents. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 90 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of charge at the campus and at the following locations. Form 7554-03 Page NB-2 of NB-3 SUNY Procedure 7554 Rev. November 2025 Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Accordingly, a deposit check of $40 made payable to SUNY Upstate Medical University, is required. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. (Under SFL 143 the campus has the option to waive the deposit requirement where bid documents “are made available and obtained electronically or in any non-paper form by the agency”. If the campus wishes to waive the deposit for all bidders, delete the above paragraph). No pre-bid conference and project walk-through will be held. No individual walk-throughs will be provided. Photographs of the site or a video walk though can be made available in an addendum. Pursuant to State Finance Law §139-j and §139-k, this solicitation includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between the University and potential bidders during the procurement process.
