    The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a pre-qualified list of providers for Charter Bus Services for schools and departments to utilize on an as needed basis. Schools and departments may choose any awarded supplier to provide charter bus services that best meets their needs for the trip. Transportation is required for athletic teams and events, fields trips, and other activities as needed. Bidders must meet the state requirements for transporting students as specified in Florida Statutes 1006.25 and 1012.45.The District currently has 33 elementary schools, 4 K-8 schools, 9 middle schools, 7 high schools, 1 alternative school, and 1 technical college. School sites may be added or removed throughout the contract period.The District currently has more than 53,000 students enrolled and is continuing to grow.The District intends to award this solicitation to all responsive and responsible bidders as best meets the needs of the District. It is anticipated that the bidder(s) who propose the best pricing may be utilized in a larger capacity, however the District may choose any awarded supplier to provide these services that best meets its needs. This may include but is not limited to pricing, scheduling, etc.
