    Description

The landscape improvement project is located at the northeast corner of Lynn Rd. and West Hillcrest Dr. intersection, in the turf-landscaped areas adjacent to the City of Thousand Oaks Monument Sign. The proposed improvements at this site include; removal of existing turf, electrical work to replace lighting fixtures, repair and painting of existing cement stucco walls, removal and replacement of the existing irrigation system, landscape grading, planting, and a 90-day plant establishment period.

    Background

This project is part of the City of Thousand Oaks' ongoing citywide landscape upgrade program, which seeks to enhance the aesthetic character of arterial entrances and parkways by replacing dead and dying turf with water conservation-minded plant material in accordance with the City's Forestry Master Plan (FMP). The project is anticipated to decrease long-term landscape maintenance costs through the replacement of ornamental turf with California-friendly plant material and high-efficiency irrigation systems.
