Bid submissions will be opened electronically after the deadline. **Engineer/Publisher:** City of China Grove, Texas **Engineer Address:** 2412 FM 1516 S, China Grove, Texas, 78263 ## Additional Notes Materials • Contractor shall use hot-poured rubberized asphalt crack sealant meeting ASTM D6690 Type II or Type III, suitable for Texas climate conditions • Sealant shall be heated using oil-jacketed equipment • Sealant shall be applied strictly within the manufacturer’s recommended temperature range • Overheated, scorched, or improperly applied material will not be accepted Installation Requirements • All cracks shall be cleaned with high-pressure compressed air (minimum 90 PSI) immediately prior to sealing • Cracks must be dry and free of dust, debris, vegetation, and loose material • Sealant shall fully fill cracks and may be lightly overbanded; excessive over-application or surface pooling will not be accepted • Sealant shall cure without tracking under traffic • Work shall not be performed during unsuitable weather conditions or outside manufacturer-recommended temperature ranges Measurement & Pricing • Bidders shall submit a unit price per ton or gallon of sealant applied, inclusive of all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, and incidentals • Contractor shall provide documentation of material usage upon request Contract Amount & Authorization • Total work shall be performed on a not-to-exceed basis of $25,000 • The City intends to authorize an initial phase of work not to exceed $12,000 • Additional work may be authorized at the City’s discretion based on performance, inspection results, and budget availability • The City is under no obligation to authorize or expend the full not-to-exceed amount Schedule Work shall be completed within thirty (30) calendar days of Notice to Proceed, subject to weather conditions and material curing requirements.SLED stands for State, Local, and Education.
