SCOPE OF WORK

East Drew Street Outfall

 

The proposed project provides for the construction of drainage improvements in the City of Kirbyville, Texas, including reshaping and installing a concrete  trough in an existing ditch, installing new culverts, constructing new headwalls, and associated improvements Specifically, the City intends to conduct the following improvements:

 

Base Bid:

1. Construct a concrete trough to line the bottom of an existing ditch, including reshaping the ditch as necessary, including area to allow local drainage to enter the channel, relocating water lines underneath proposed drainage, and casing an exposed sewer service.
2. Constructing a junction structure and two headwalls with wingwalls.
3. Constructing a 6’x3’ RC box, including a pipe penetration through the box and all surface restoration.
4. Constructing metal beam guard fence.
5. Providing and implementing a traffic control plan.
6. Providing and implementing a stormwater pollution prevention plan.
7. Providing trench safety systems as required.
8. Conducting materials testing by a laboratory approved by the Engineer.

 

Special Requirements and Clarifications

1. The Contractor shall restore the work route to its original condition or better prior to acceptance by the Owner. 
2. The Contractor shall contact the owner Mr. Bryce Powell at (409) 622-0125 prior to starting any work within the project area.
3. Any changes in quantities will be addressed by change order and will have to be approved by the Owner before any work can be done.
4. All excess materials removed during the course of the project will have to be properly disposed of by the Contractor.
