Jackson County, in coordination with all cities and special districts within the county, seeks to update its existing NHMP to: • Maintain FEMA approval and eligibility for mitigation funding • Reflect current hazard risks, climate trends, and development patterns • Strengthen coordination across county, city, and special district partners • Identify and prioritize mitigation actions across all participating jurisdictions The plan will build upon previous planning efforts and integrate updated data, stakeholder input, and best practices.
