Water Treatment Plant Generators
GENERAL
This contract provides for removal of the existing 500KW(625KVA)generator and removal and replacement of the existing ATS and installing a new 800KW diesel generator at the Link Street Water Plant and installing the 500KW along with removing and replacing the existing ATS at the Richard Drive Water Plant and all necessary appurtenances for the City of Orange, Texas.
SPECIFIC
This contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, inspection, testing, and superintendence required for the proposed project as shown in the contract plans and specifications. This contract includes, but is not limited to the following:
BASE BID ITEMS
A. Link Street Water Plant:
1. 800 KW Generator. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to remove and replace the existing 500KW generator with a new 800KW diesel generator including disconnections and reconnections, testing and start up by the generator manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications. Refer to Electrical SOW.
2. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to remove the existing ATS with a new ATS compatible to the new Generator including disconnections and reconnections, programming, testing and start up by the ATS manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications. Refer to Electrical SOW.
3. New Feeder. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new feeder, auxiliary power and controls between the new ATS, new generator and control building, including conduits and conductors, connections, testing, and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.
4. New 20'x12' Concrete Slab. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to construct a new generator concrete slab including demolition and disposal of the existing slab, excavation and backfill, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
5. New 20'x12'x17' Canopy. Furnish all labor, equipment and materials to remove and replace the existing canopy with a new canopy including disposal of existing canopy, new HDG structural steel, metal roofing, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
6. Delivery of 500KW Generator to the Richard Dr. Water Plant. Furnish all labor, equipment and materials to deliver the 500KW generator from the Link St. water plant to the Richard Dr. water plant including loading and unloading, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
7. Backup Power. The contractor shall provide a backup generator of at least 600KW during the replacement of the existing generator and ATS. Refer to Electrical Scope of Work.
B. Richard Drive Water Plant,
8. New 20'x12' Concrete Slab. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to construct a new concrete slab for the 625KW generator including excavation and backfill, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
9. Limestone Drive. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to construct a new 6” compacted limestone drive between the existing drive and the new generator slab, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
10. New 20'x12'x17' Canopy. Furnish all labor, equipment and materials to construct a new canopy including, new HDG structural steel, metal roofing, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
11. New 5'x5'' Concrete Slab. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to construct a new concrete slab for the new ATS including excavation and backfill, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
12. 500KW Generator. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to install the 625KW generator from the Link Street water plant, including all conduits and conductors, connections to the new ATS, testing and start up and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications. Refer to Electrical SOW.

15. Link St. Canopy Lighting. Furnish all labor, equipment and materials to install new lighting including, light fixtures, receptacles, conduits and conductors and connections to lighting panel, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
16. Richard Dr. Canopy Lighting. Furnish all labor, equipment and materials to install new lighting including, light fixtures, receptacles, conduits and conductors and connections to lighting panel, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
CONDITIONS ALONG THE ROUTES
The Contractor's attention is called to various physical conditions along the routes as follows.
1. The Contractor shall notify City personnel at least 72 hours before construction begins. The Contractor shall take precautions to avoid damage to foundations, existing equipment, and appurtenances. The Contractor shall observe all applicable OSHA and owner requirements while working near the electrical equipment.
2. Underground utilities exist near or within the project area. During construction the Contractor shall take the necessary precautions to avoid damaging the existing utilities within the limits of the project site.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The Contractor shall contact Mr. James Lawrence at 409-238-9108 prior to starting any work within the project site.
The Contractor shall restore all project locations to their original condition or better prior to the project completion.
