Old Armory Generator
GENERAL
This contract provides for removal and replacement of the existing Old Armory generator and ATS and all necessary appurtenances for the City of Orange, Texas.
SPECIFIC
This contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, inspection, testing, and superintendence required for the proposed project as shown in the contract plans and specifications. This contract includes, but is not limited to the following:
1. 100 KW Generator. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to remove and replace the existing generator with a new 100KW natural gas generator including disconnections and reconnections, testing and start up by the generator manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications. Refer to Electrical Scope of Work.
2. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to remove the existing ATS with a new ATS compatible to the new Generator including disconnections and reconnections, programming, testing and start up by the ATS manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications. Refer to Electrical Scope of Work.
3. New Feeder. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new feeder between the new ATS and new Generator, including conduits and conductors, connections, testing, and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications. Refer to Electrical Scope of Work.
4. Natural Gas Supply. The General Contractor shall provide coordination with the Gas Company for the tie in of natural gas service to accommodate the added demand of the new generator. Installation of all gas piping shall be in accordance with NSPC and inspected by a state licensed master plumber. Refer to Electrical Scope of Work.
CONDITIONS ALONG THE ROUTES
The Contractor's attention is called to various physical conditions along the routes as follows.
1. The Contractor shall notify City personnel at least 72 hours before construction begins. The Contractor shall take precautions to avoid damage to foundations, existing equipment, and appurtenances. The Contractor shall observe all applicable OSHA and owner requirements while working near the electrical equipment.
2. Underground utilities exist near or within the project area. During construction the Contractor shall take the necessary precautions to avoid damaging the existing utilities within the limits of the project site.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. The Contractor shall contact Mr. James Lawrence at 409-238-9108 prior to starting any work within the project site.
2. The Contractor shall restore all project locations to their original condition or better prior to the project completion.
3. The Contractor shall salvage the existing generator at a location designated by the Owner.
