    SCOPE OF WORK

    City of Pinehurst, Texas

    HMGP Contract No. Dr-4485

    FEMA Project No. 0123

    Lift Station Generators

     

     
    GENERAL

    This project provided for the installation of generators at six (6) lift station sites though the City of Pinehurst, Warbler Street, Broad Street, 33Rd Street, 34th Street, Del Sasso, and Highway 90 lift stations including new ATSs and all necessary appurtenances.

     

    SPECIFIC

    This contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, inspection, testing, and superintendence required for the proposed project as shown in the contract plans and specifications. Refer to Electrical Scope of Work and Specifications. This contract includes, but is not limited to the following:

     

    Highway 90 Lift Station.

    1.     35KW Generator. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to install a new 35KW natural gas generator including connections to the new ATS, testing and start up by the generator manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    2.     Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).  Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new ATS compatible with the new generator including all connections, programming, testing and start up by the ATS manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    3.     New Feeder. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new feeder between the new ATS, new Generator and pump control panel, including excavation, backfill, conduits and conductors, connections, testing, and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    4.     Generator Support. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to construct a concrete support for the new generator, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    5.     Natural Gas Supply. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to tie into the existing gas line, run gas line from main gas line to the lift station site, install and connect gas meter, connect to the proposed generator, testing, coordination with gas company, and appurtenances all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

     

    Del Sasso Lift Station,

    6.     35KW Generator. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to install a new 35KW natural gas generator including connections to the new ATS, testing and start up by the generator manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    7.     Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).  Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new ATS compatible with the new generator including all connections, programming, testing and start up by the ATS manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    8.     New Feeder. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new feeder between the new ATS, new Generator and pump control panel, including excavation, backfill, conduits and conductors, connections, testing, and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    9.     Generator Support. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to construct a concrete support for the new generator, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    Broad Street Lift Station,

    11. 35KW Generator. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to install a new 35KW natural gas generator including connections to the new ATS, testing and start up by the generator manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    12. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).  Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new ATS compatible with the new generator including all connections, programming, testing and start up by the ATS manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    13. New Feeder. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new feeder between the new ATS, new Generator and pump control panel, including excavation, backfill, conduits and conductors, connections, testing, and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    14. Generator Support. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to construct a steel platform for the new generator, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    15. Natural Gas Supply. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to tie into the existing gas line, run gas line from main gas line to the lift station site, install and connect gas meter, connect to the proposed generator, testing, coordination with gas company, and appurtenances all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    16. Contractor to furnish and install approximately fifty-eight (58LF) linear feet of chain link fence, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

     

    33rd Street Lift Station,

    17. 35KW Generator. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to install a new 35KW natural gas generator including connections to the new ATS, testing and start up by the generator manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    18. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new ATS compatible with the new generator including all connections, programming, testing and start up by the ATS manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    19. New Feeder. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new feeder between the new ATS, new Generator and pump control panel, including excavation, backfill, conduits and conductors, connections, testing, and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    20. Generator Support. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to construct a steel platform for the new generator, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    34th Street Lift Station

    22. 50KW Generator. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to remove and replace the existing 35KW generator with a new 50KW natural gas generator including connections to the new ATS, testing and start up by the generator manufacturer, coordinating with the gas company on the required gas supply to the new 50KW generator, salvaging the existing generator for the Owner and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    23. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).  Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new ATS compatible with the new generator including all connections, programming, testing and start up by the ATS manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    24. New Feeder. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new feeder between the new ATS, new Generator and pump control panel, including excavation, backfill, conduits and conductors, connections, testing, and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    25. Natural Gas Supply. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to tie into the existing gas line and meter, connect to the proposed generator, testing, coordination with gas company, and appurtenances all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

     

    Warbler Street Lift Station

    26. 20KW Generator. Furnish all labor materials and equipment to install a new 20KW natural gas generator including connections to the new ATS, testing and start up by the generator manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    27. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new ATS compatible with the new generator including all connections, programming, testing and start up by the ATS manufacturer and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    28. New Feeder. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to install a new feeder between the new ATS, new Generator and pump control panel, including excavation, backfill, conduits and conductors, connections, testing, and all necessary appurtenances, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    29. Generator Support. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to construct a steel platform for the new generator, all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

    30. Natural Gas Supply. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to tie into the existing gas line, run gas line from main gas line to the lift station site, install and connect gas meter, connect to the proposed generator, testing, coordination with gas company, and appurtenances all in strict accordance with plans and specifications.

     

    CONDITIONS ALONG THE ROUTES

    The Contractor's attention is called to various physical conditions along the routes as follows. 

    1.      The Contractor shall notify City personnel at least 72 hours before construction begins. The Contractor shall take precautions to avoid damage to foundations, existing equipment, and appurtenances. The Contractor shall observe all applicable OSHA and owner requirements while working near the electrical equipment.

    2.      Underground utilities exist near or within the project area. During construction the Contractor shall take the necessary precautions to avoid damaging the existing utilities within the limits of the project site.

     

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

    The Contractor shall contact Mr. Michael Spain at 409-920-8731 or Mr. Gregory May at 409-313-0965 prior to starting any work within the project site.

    The Contractor shall restore all project locations to their original condition or better prior to the project completion.

    Contractor shall coordinate salvaging and delivering any removed and unused existing equipment for the Owner.

    The Electrical Contractor shall coordinate all gas line connections, installation, connections to the new generators, testing, start up with the City and Gas Company. Work must be performed by a licensed plumber.
