City of Tyler Group 4 Private Lateral Program

Group 4 of the Private Lateral Program (PLP). The purpose of the PLP is to reduce extraneous flows, including inflow and infiltration (I&I) caused by defects in private laterals serving customers. For purposes of this project, a defective private lateral is any private service line that connects to the sewer system that discharges any substance that is not intended to be transferred via the sewer system, such as storm water, surface water runoff, and roof runoff. Rehabilitations will focus on items as follows: Replace Cleanout Cap or Install T-Cone Stopper – 67 rehab locations; Repair Broken Cleanout – 32 rehab locations; CCTV Lateral to Determine Condition – 143 rehab locations; Disconnect Abandoned Service Lateral – 55 rehab locations; Disconnect Yard Drain – 3 rehab locations; and Point Repair on Service Lateral – 27 rehab locations. This project will focus on City of Tyler sewer basins 2, 7, 10, 11, and 19.
