    Description

    SCOPE OF WORK

    CITY OF VIDOR, TEXAS

    CDBG-MIT No. 22-119-013-D523

    W CIRCUIT RETENTION POND

     

    GENERAL

    This contract provides for drainage improvements along multiple streets and the construction of two retention ponds within the City of Vidor. Proposed improvements include regrading existing ditches, removing debris from existing culverts, removing and replacing existing culverts, installation of additional drainage inlets, repairing driveways and street crossings, and all associated appurtenances to tie into the W Circuit Retention Pond. Construction of these retention ponds include excavation of pond area and embankment of levees, installation of an inlet and outlet structure, and installation of an access road around the perimeter of both ponds.

     

    SPECIFIC

    This contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, inspection, testing, and superintendence required for the complete and operable rehabilitation of the proposed project as shown on the contract plans and specifications. Proposed improvements shall take place at the following locations:

    ·       W Circuit Drive

    ·       Leon Street

    ·       Short Street

    ·       W Circuit Drive Retention Pond

     

    CONDITIONS ALONG THE ROUTES

    The Contractor's attention is called to various physical conditions along the routes as follows:

    1. The Contractor shall take precautions to avoid damage to power lines, foundations, guy wires, and appurtenances. The Contractor shall observe all applicable OSHA and owner requirements while working near the overhead power lines including restriction of height of equipment.

    2. During construction, the Contractor shall take the necessary precautions to avoid damaging existing utilities within the limits of the project site.

     

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND CLARIFICATIONS

    1. The Contractor shall restore the work route to its original condition or better prior to acceptance by the Owner. 

    2. The Contractor shall contact Mr. Percy Flannigan at (409) 782-4675 prior to starting any work within the project area.

    3. Any changes in quantities will be addressed by change order and will have to be approved by the Owner before any work can be done.

    4. All excess materials removed during the course of the project will have to be properly disposed of by the Contractor.
