    The City of Laguna Niguel is seeking exceptionally well-qualified Contractor(s) to provide comprehensive electric vehicle (EV) charging station maintenance and support services for municipal EV infrastructure located throughout the City. Services shall include, but are not limited to, inspection, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, electrical and equipment repairs, coordination with network providers and utilities, provision of necessary materials and parts, and other tasks required to ensure safe, reliable, and fully operational EV charging stations for City employees and the public. The awarded Contractor(s) shall comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, codes, standards, and permitting requirements, including all required professional licenses and certifications for electrical and EV charging equipment work.Work shall be assigned by the City on an as-needed basis to one of the selected Contractor(s) at the time services are required. A brief description of the requested services will be provided, along with an opportunity for the Contractor to review the site conditions. The Contractor shall then submit a written response within seventy-two (72) hours, including a description of the proposed approach, a schedule for completion, and an estimated cost based on the pricing submitted in the Contractor’s proposal to this RFP. Upon approval of the approach, schedule, and cost by the requesting City Department Representative, the Contractor shall commence work within five (5) business days, unless otherwise directed by the City due to urgency or site conditions.It is the intent of these specifications to describe the required electric vehicle (EV) charging station maintenance, repair, and support services in sufficient detail to obtain pricing for quarterly preventive maintenance as well as as-needed time-and-materials services for additional required work. Proposed rates shall be held by the Contractor(s) through July 2029. All labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and services not specifically identified, but which are necessary to properly perform EV charging station maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and related support services, shall be included in the Contractor’s priced proposal at the time services are requested. It is intended that contracts generated pursuant to this request for proposals will streamline the service quotation process for EV charging station-related work. However, these contracts do not eliminate the City’s right to request quotations from other vendors or to use a formal proposal process for specific EV charging projects when it is determined to be in the City’s best interest. Contracts awarded as a result of this RFP do not guarantee that any work will be requested or performed.
