Applicants of the City’s CalHOME Assistance Program must be 1) homeowners, 2) have owned their home for at least one year, and 3) have household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (“AMI”).The City has a maximum amount of $500,000 of CalHOME Program funds available for housing rehabilitation projects, and of the $500,000, the administrative costs shall not exceed 20% of the CalHome program disbursement to the City. The grant funded allocation of costs is restrictive to this percentage and these amounts are locked.
