    Description

    The City of Pomona is accepting bids for printing and related services for all city departments. The needs of the City are diverse and include both offset printing services and some photocopying. Some examples of printing requests include envelopes, letterhead, forms, business cards and four-color process printing, as well as some graphic design. The bid award shall be based on the minimum quantity of the most frequently ordered print jobs as specified in the Scope of Services and Specifications section herein. The City seeks to award a three (3) year agreement with two one-year extension options. Operating as a broker or outsourcing any part of this contract/award is not permitted.Upon award:Bidder must obtain a City of Pomona business license before start of contract and must also provide current certificate of insurance. Notes: Disqualification:1. Bidders must be listed on the city of Pomona’s "prospective bidders list" on PlanetBids in order to participate in this bid. If bidders fail to register with PlanetBids prior to submitting a response, the city shall immediately reject any response you submit in reference to this solicitation.2. Per Section 2-971(2) of the Pomona City Code, any unauthorized contact by the Bidder during the bid process with an official or city employee, other than those shown on the bid, the Finance Director or Purchasing Manager, shall cause the Bidder to be immediately disqualified from participating in the bidding process.3. DO NOT USE THE CITY’S SEAL OR LOGO. DOING SO IS IN VIOLATION OF THE CITY’S CODE AND MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE SUBMITTAL. Section 2-5(3)a of the Pomona City Code prohibits the use of the City’s Seal or Logo, or any reproduction thereof, for any purpose other than for official business of the city, its council, officers or departments.4. Conflict of Interest – (Charter 1204 & City Code 2-971) (Under section General Instructions and Requirements)5. Gratuities – Except for items that are clearly promotional in nature, mass produced, trivial in value and not intended to invoke any form of reciprocation, employees of the City of Pomona may not accept gratuities, entertainment, meals of anything of value whatsoever from current or potential suppliers. The offer of such gratuity to an employee of the City shall be cause for declaring such supplier to be an irresponsible bidder and will be prevented from responding as provided in Section 2-970 of the City Code of the City of Pomona. (Under section General Instructions and Requirements)6. Outsourcing any part of this contract/award is not permitted.7. The Bidder shall, under no circumstances, operate as a broker and assign any contract/ award as a result of this bid, or any part thereof to another party.8. Bidder must operate and have a physical facility that can handle all printing and mailing in house.
