The work, in general, consists of road surface repair. The work shall include, but not be limited to, 6” depth pavement spot repairs, 3’ grind and asphalt overlay, crack sealing, placing polymer-modified asphalt emulsion (microsurfacing), associated striping removal and placement, refreshing of existing pavement traffic lanes and markings, traffic control, and installing necessary environmental pollution prevention requirements on various streets in the City of Monterey, California.

  Notice is hereby given that the City of Monterey ("City") will receive electronic bids for CITYWIDE ROAD SURFACE REPAIR PROJECT, FY26 (35C1553) until Tuesday, May 5, 2026, 2:00 pm Pacific Time at which time they will be publicly, electronically opened and viewable on the City's e-Procurement Portal (OpenGov Procurement). Bids shall be valid for 90 Days after the bid opening date.

  Bidders may obtain a copy of the Contract Documents at no charge from the City's electronic bid management system, OpenGov Procurement, at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityofmonterey or by calling Cody Hennings, (831) 646-3473.

• Bid Bond (required) —

  An original certified check or cashier's check payable to the order of the City of Monterey, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount shall be uploaded with each bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bid bond must be notarized, include the embossed surety seal, and include a Power of Attorney if the signee is not an officer of the surety.

  The original certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond must be received by the City no later than 1 p.m. on the Bid Opening Date.  In order to ensure that the original certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond is received by the deadline, the City recommends bidders use express mail or personal delivery.  The original shall be addressed to:
