NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Avalon with its principal place of business at 410 Avalon Canyon Road, Avalon CA 90704 ("City") invites and will receive sealed bids (“Bids”) up to but not later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Office of the City Clerk, located at 410 Avalon Canyon Road, Avalon CA 90704 for the furnishing to City of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for Civic Center Housing Project Phase 3B: Delivery and Setting (“Project”). At said time, Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time shall be returned unopened. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after the bid opening date. The City previously entered a contract with US-Offsite (the “Modular Manufacturer”) for the design, procurement, manufacturing, and make shipment ready of 39 modular units and accessory components (the “Modular Manufacturing Scope”) for the Civic Center Housing Project in the City of Avalon. The Modular Manufacturer and their design consultants have generated, in coordination with the City and their consultants, Architectural, Structural and Mechanical Design Documents (individually and collectively called the “Modular Design Documents”). The City of Avalon is now soliciting bids from qualified Contractors (”Bidders”) for the Shipping, On-Site Installation and structural connections of the modular units only. For reference, all of the on site installation scope and activities beyond the logistics and setting of the modular units is covered under separate bid package 3C. Bids are to be based on the Modular Design Documents, other scope and reference documents. Bids must be submitted on City’s Bid Forms. Bidders may obtain a copy of the Contract Documents from www.publicpurchase.com and www.cityofavalon.gov/rfp or at: 410 Avalon Canyon Road, Avalon, CA 90704, (310) 510-0220. To the extent required by section 20103.7 of the Public Contract Code, upon request from a contractor plan room service, City shall provide an electronic copy of the Contract Documents at no charge to the contractor plan room. All questions, interpretations or clarifications, either administrative or technical, must be requested in writing via email to:coa-cchp@cityofavalon.gov or submitted directly in Public Purchase at www.publicpurchase.com.
