    Description

    The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to prepare and submit a bid for Class 1 Printing of the 2025 Laws of Wisconsin (hardcover) and Class 2 Printing of the 2025 – 2026 Wisconsin Statutes (case bound stamped hardcover and perfect bound softcover books, six (6) volume set) for the State of Wisconsin. Jobs generated from this RFB may include, but are not limited to, the following characteristics: 1. 50% or greater ink coverage on 1 or 2 color work 2. Three (3) out or more colors 3. Reverses out of large solid areas 4. Duotones are large screened areas 5. Line screen greater than 150 lines per inch 6. Special printing techniques such as double bumping, ghosting bars, or dry trapping The State, as represented by the Department of Administration, State Bureau of Procurement, intends to use the results of this process to award one (1) Contract for the above said printing per Chapter 35.15, 35.17, and 35.18 of the Wisconsin Laws and Statutes. Contractors are to review all elements of this RFB before submitting bid materials. Contractors are advised to carefully study and thoroughly familiarize themselves with this document. Failure to follow requirements shall result in rejection of bid. The Department of Administration intends to utilize this bid for the production of books printed on heat set lithography equipment. These bids include case/hard stamped covers printed on the cover and spine, soft covers printed two (2) sided on the front cover and spine. Binding operations for these bids consist of perfect binding, smyth sewing, collating, scoring, and other normal finishing operations.
