    Description

    Rockland Community College is seeking a vendor to clean multiple grease traps, hood exhaust systems and associated filters at 2 locations. One in Nyack, NY and one in Suffern, NY. Service agreement shall be for 12 months as listed. Price shall include all labor, materials, equipment and supervision. Scope of work involved with cleaning the grease exhaust hood systems: Subject to Article 9 NYS Prevailing Wage • Pilot lights to be blown out and clear polyethylene sheeting to be used to cover all equipment located under the hoods • Filters/drawers to be removed from the hood system and exchanged/power-washed clean • Immediate vertical ducts to be scraped down to bare metal, by power-washing and/or hand scraping,along with the backsplashes • The hood and immediate ductwork to be sprayed with a water-soluble degreaser which breaksdown the grease and neutralizes it • Check/Clean Internal ductwork • Power-washing the immediate ducts and the hood to remove contaminants from allthe nooks and crannies. Runoff water to be vacuumed up as this process is taking place • All stainless steel to be dried off using chamois and towels • Stainless Steel is then polished to a like-new condition and all pilot lights are relit • A new hood sticker to be placed on the hood specifying the date it was cleaned and the date of the next cleaning • Exhaust fans to be checked and/or cleaned by hand-scraping and/or power washing as needed Cleaning of kitchen sink grease traps: Subject to Article 8 NYS Prevailing Wage • Vacuum out the liquid contents of the traps into 55 gallon drums • Traps to be scraped clean, sanitized and deodorized • The entire contents are removed from premises and taken to a registered disposal plant This service agreement is subject to Article 8 and Article 9 of the New York State Department of Labor Prevaling Wage Rates Service provider must be registered with the NYS Department of Labor and provide their Contractor Registration Certificate to be considered for an award.
