    Description

The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) is seeking proposals from contractors to install signage and striping through the Clearfork branch of the Trinity River in Fort Worth. Proposers shall propose installation for the signage and striping project, as laid out in the construction documents provided by TRWD and prepared by Kimley Horn, to install centerline, edge, other striping and rumble strips, as well as determined AASHTO safety signs according to the plans.

    Background

The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) has provided quality water to its customers, implemented vital flood control measures and created recreational opportunities for Tarrant County residents and communities for more than one hundred (100) years.

TRWD is led by a publicly elected five (5) member board and owns and operates four (4) major reservoirs including Lake Bridgeport, Eagle Mountain Lake, Cedar Creek Reservoir and Richland Chambers Reservoir.  TRWD has constructed over two hundred and fifty (250) miles of water pipelines, multiple pump stations and a two-thousand-acre wetland water reuse project augmenting water supplies for the area.  TRWD also maintains twenty-seven (27) miles of floodway levees and more than one hundred (100) miles of Trinity River Trails.

TRWD’s transmission pipelines, ranging in diameters of 72 inch through 108 inch, convey water from its water supply sources Richland-Chambers Reservoir, Cedar Creek Reservoir and Lake Benbrook, through several lake and booster pump stations including balancing reservoirs along the way. The raw water is delivered directly to customer water treatment plants supplied by TRWD’s pipelines, as well as to terminal storage reservoirs (Eagle Mountain, Lake Benbrook, and Lake Arlington) through pressure reducing outlets.
