The purpose of this project is to implement traffic signal system upgrades at 44 intersections throughout the City of Brentwood as part of a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) improvement initiative. The upgrades will include the installation of new signal equipment, video detection systems, accessible pedestrian signals (APS), and ADA-compliant curb ramps where required. Additionally, traffic signal timing will need to be programmed to optimize intersection operations and improve overall traffic flow. All project bids shall comply with the Tennessee Department of Transportation's standard specifications and all provisions outlined in the proposal contract.
A prime contractor must prequalify with the Department of Transportation in accordance with Section 54-5-117 of the "Tennessee Code Annotated" and Tennessee Department of Transportation Rule 1680-5-3 prequalification of contractors before biddable proposals will be furnished.
