    Introduction CMU Tech is the vocational and technical education branch of Colorado Mesa University (CMU). It is located three miles northwest of CMU’s main campus in Grand Junction, Colorado, and is home to more than thirty programs offering both certificates and associate degrees. Background Youngblood building roof is a combination of standing seam, EPDM, and ballast over an EPDM membrane. The ballasted portion of the roof has come to the end of Its life cycle and needs to be replaced. Objective/Scope The plan is to remove the ballast material and demo the existing roof membrane. Areas of the roof insulation have been compromised and will also need to be removed and replaced. A new fully adhered EPDM membrane will be installed. Existing standing seam roofing is to remain and be painted. Full scope of work is in the construction documents.
