The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, waste containers, removal of debris/trash, and incidentals required to complete the project.

• Concrete stair structure shall remain intact and undamaged
• Protect all adjacent structures, landscaping, and building finishes
• Saw-cut clean edges where needed to ensure proper tie-in
• Carefully remove and protect:
o Stairway railings
o “Collinsville Library” metal signage
• Contractor assumes full responsibility for damage, loss, or theft to stairway railing and signage lettering.
• Contractor assumes full responsibility for damages made to irrigation lines, heads, zone valves.
• Contractor assumes full responsibility for damaged plants, shrubs, landscape materials.
• Install new brick to match:
o Existing color
o Size and shape
o Texture and finish
o Pattern/layout (bond pattern must match existing)
o 4” white block pattern
• Mortar shall match existing in:
o Color
o Joint profile
o Strength and composition (as appropriate for exterior masonry)
• Contractor shall submit brick and mortar samples for approval prior to installation.
• Inspect and prepare sub-base as needed
• Repair or regrade base material to ensure:
o Proper drainage
o Long-term stability
• Notify Library of any unforeseen structural deficiencies before proceeding
• Install brick in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards
• Ensure:
o Proper slope for drainage (away from building)
o ADA compliance where applicable
o Even surfaces and consistent joint spacing
• Reinstall:
o Stairway railings (aligned, secure, and code-compliant)
o Library signage in original location unless otherwise approved
• Any alternative mounting methods must receive written approval from library
• Provide dumpster(s) and haul-off services
• Remove all debris, materials, and waste from site
• Maintain a clean and safe job site throughout the project
• Final condition shall be equal to or better than pre-construction condition
Permits & Compliance
• Obtain all required permits and inspections
• Comply with all:

Utilities
• Verify and protect any underground utilities
• Coordinate utility locates prior to excavation/demolition

Contractor shall provide proof of:

Contractor is responsible for:

Contractor shall submit:

• Mortar samples
