Contract 1 - General Construction The work to be performed under this contract includes: a. Demolish and remove the existing filtered-water conduit access manhole cover and furnish and install a new access manhole cover as indicated on the Contract Drawings. e. Provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct a complete sodium hypochlorite disinfection system, including but not limited to piping, bulk storage tanks, day tanks, pumps, valves, and all ancillary components shown on the Contract Drawings. f. Furnish and install level sensors and leak-detection sensors on the bulk storage tanks and day tanks, complete with all mounting hardware and accessories required for a fully functional system. g. Construction of concrete containment curbing and concrete housekeeping pads for the day tanks located on the second floor of the Head House, complete with all required reinforcement, finishes, and accessories. h. Construction of a new concrete chemical unloading pad, including demolition of existing asphalt, and furnish and install a precast concrete valve vault, chemical unloading cabinet, 8” PVC storm sewer, and all associated ancillary components as indicated on the Contract Drawings. i. Demolition and construction of new vents into filtered water conduit in lower filter gallery. j. Site restoration, topsoil, and seeding. k. Handling, loading, transport, and disposal of all construction debris. l. Supply and installation a complete HVAC system including ductwork and accessories, louvered penthouses, supply and exhaust fans, duct heater unit, and system accessories as specified and indicated on the Contract Drawings. m. All other Work that is required to provide for a complete project and is outside of the scope of Contract. We are looking for vendors and subcontractors who are MBE or WBE certified by the Erie County and City of Buffalo Joint Commission.
