State Project Number 51ML0003 Complex Building Shower Repairs – MSOP Moose Lake A. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, Demolition, Remediation, and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1. The project scope includes the renovation of existing accessible and non-accessible shower facilities located on the first and second floors of the Complex Building, including all associated mechanical and electrical fixtures. 2. The work is limited to interior finishes, fixtures, and accessories. 3. The Complex Building is organized into five client sleeping wings, each containing two vertically stacked shower rooms. 4. A sixth wing contains a single set of shower facilities that are not vertically aligned. 5. To accommodate operational requirements and maintain building occupancy during construction, the project will be executed in multiple phases. This solicitation includes required insurance as recommended for the project’s specifications and scope of work. It is highly encouraged potential responders review Section 00 73 16 Insurance Requirements as well as AIA A201, Article 11 of the solicitation before submitting a response. This solicitation includes qualification requirements. Attachment C of the Response Form contains the qualification requirements for the solicitation. Qualification requirements include, but are not limited to: 1. Responding company has completed as a Prime Contractor, not as a subcontractor, the work for at least three (3) contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since June 10, 2021 for construction of shower, restroom or hygiene facilities or similar scope of work of this solicitation. Each of these contracts MUST have had a construction value of $500,000 or greater. OR In lieu of Responding company’s projects, Responder may provide on the form below up to three (3) qualifying projects completed by the Project Manager while employed by others which have achieved Substantial Completion June 10, 2021 for shower, restroom or hygiene facilities or similar scope of work of this solicitation, and $500,000 or greater. 2. Project Manager and Job Superintendent responsible for this project EACH has had at least Five (5) years of experience with shower, restroom or hygiene facilities of similar scope and value to this project. Each of these contracts must have had a construction value of $500,000 or greater. This Project has a 5% Targeted Group, Economically Disadvantaged, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (TG/ED/VO) subcontracting goal. The TG/ED/VO subcontracting goal will not be a consideration in determining the lowest responsible Prime Contractor. Responses received from responders that did not attend the pre-bid meeting will be rejected.
