    Description

The Region 9 Board of Education (“Region 9”, “District”, “BOE”, “we”) invites qualified firms to submit proposals to conduct a comprehensive facilities study for Joel Barlow High School. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the current condition and functionality of the school’s physical plant and grounds, in order for the Board to develop a strategic, data-informed 10-year capital improvement plan that supports the district’s educational mission. This study will include a thorough assessment of building systems, athletic fields and grounds, safety and security infrastructure, and instructional spaces. The selected firm will identify short- and long-term capital needs, including but not limited to HVAC systems, roofing, and structural components, while ensuring that all facilities align with modern instructional practices and evolving pedagogical approaches.
