(THE UNIFORM PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION COST ACCOUNTING ACT) Notice is hereby given that the Fresno Unified School DISTRICT (“DISTRICT”) will receive sealed bids for Bid No. 26-35 , Ahwahnee and Computech Middle School Landscape Improvement Project , to replace existing quad turf with new drought-tolerant landscaping, irrigation, permeable surfaces and concrete . Prime Contractor must have a valid Class “A” or “C-27” Contractor’s License . The time allowed for completion for the project shall be 45 Calendar days for Ahwahnee and 67 Calendar days for Computech Middle School . The Architect/Engineers’ estimate for this project is around $244,477 for Ahwahnee and $278,305 for Computech, (estimate as of December 2025) A MANDATORY pre-bid conference has been scheduled at 10:00 AM, February 10, 2026 in front of the Administration Office at Ahwahnee Middle School, 1127 E. Escalon Avenue, Fresno CA 93710 and 11:00 AM at Computech Middle School, 555 E. Belgravia Ave., Fresno, CA 93706 . Contractors bidding as a Prime Contractor for either of the project sites must attend in order for their bid to be “responsive”. Immediately following the pre-bid conference will be mandatory job-walks at each of the sites. All visitors must check-in at the school office using our visitor management system which requires ID verification via government-issued identification card or driver’s license to receive a badge and enter the campus. Bidders may arrive earlier than the scheduled time to obtain their badge. This bid consists of 2 projects to be awarded by Section. Sealed bids must be received on February 24 , 2026 February 26, 2026, on Procureware, the DISTRICT’s online bidding portal, after which time the bids will be opened and bid results posted. Each bid section will be opened and read aloud immediately following its designated due time: Section A – Ahwahnee Middle School - Prior to 2:00 P.M. Section B – Computech Middle School - Prior to 2:30 P.M. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or a bidder’s bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of total bids made payable to Fresno Unified. Bid documents may be downloaded at no charge from the district’s bidding portal, Procureware, at: https://fresnousdpurchasing.procureware.com/home. All bids must be submitted through the portal.
