Through this Request for Proposal, SculptureCenter (SC) is soliciting a design firm to provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services for a new connection of SC’s rear courtyard to the Baseline Open Space. The consultant will work closely with our leadership team, staff and community stakeholders representing SC, who will provide guidance on the strategic direction as it relates to specific design. SC has been awarded NYS funding for this project as part of the NYS Department of State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) capital investment in the Long Island City community. SC and NYS encourage the participation by State-certified Minority and Women owned Business Entities (MWBE) in the procurement of all goods and services. This DRI funded project has a MWBE goal of 30% of the total DRI grant. State-certified MWBEs are encouraged to submit responses to this RFP. Further, when assembling your consultant team in response to this RFP, please consider MWBEs as subconsultants/contractors.
