    Description

    Construction Inspection and Materials Testing Services for Turnout No. 5 – Amethyst Road Water Pipeline and Metering Facility Project, MS26-110. The Victorville Water District (District) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide construction inspection and materials testing services for this Project. The selected Consultant will serve as the District’s primary construction compliance representative and will verify that all work is performed in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, structural calculations, and applicable codes and standards. The selected Consultant will work in coordination with and under the general direction of the City and the District's assigned Project Manager.

    Background

    This project, which involves the Construction of approximately 1.25 miles of 24-inch diameter mortar-lined and coated welded steel water main and a small metering building, is a critical water transmission and metering infrastructure improvement funded in part by state and/or federal grants. Due to fixed funding deadlines, the project must reach substantial completion well in advance of June 30, 2027. Construction is anticipated to begin in May 2026, with pipeline and metering facility construction occurring concurrently. The estimated construction duration is approximately ten (10) months.
