    Description

Ann Ott Service Center and Professional Development Center
    Estimated Construction Budget: $20,000,000

Phoenix Elementary School District #1 plans to construct a new Ann Ott Service Center and Professional Development Center at the former Ann Ott School site located at 1211 E. Apache St., Phoenix, AZ. The surrounding neighborhood is north of I-17 and east of 7th Street.

The project will relocate the District’s existing Plant Services Complex from its current downtown Grant Street location to the Ann Ott property. The redevelopment of the site will include demolition of the existing school buildings and the construction of new facilities designed to support District operations and staff development.

The project will include two primary buildings:

    • Ann Ott Service Center (approximately 30,000 square feet) – a centralized operational facility supporting the District’s Plant Services, Transportation, Warehouse, Child Nutrition, and fleet operations.

    • Professional Development Center (approximately 12,000 square feet) – a facility designed to support staff training, professional development, and student programming.

The new campus will also include green space, walking paths, and outdoor wellness areas to support staff wellbeing and community engagement.

The project is currently in schematic design and will be delivered using the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method.

The selected CMAR will provide preconstruction and construction services in collaboration with the District and the District’s Architect/Engineer to ensure the project is delivered efficiently, within budget, and aligned with the District’s operational goals.

The District anticipates completion of the project by Summer 2028.
