The new Suffolk County Water Authority Operations Headquarters Building project is primarily composed of a two story out of the ground, new construction facility of approximately 35,190 square feet. The purpose of the project is to provide the SCWA with a new facility from which several different departments will operate. The awarded general contractor will be responsible for providing a turn-key facility with all structural, architectural, and building systems completed. Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents are available for you to download by logging into the following websites www.scwa.com; or www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york. Questions and answers will also be posted on the public websites noted above. The Authority will hold A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting starting at 10:00 a.m. on January 6, 2026, to discuss the specifications/requirements of the contract, inspect existing site conditions, and to address questions relating to the subject project. The meeting will be at the Oakdale Complex, located on the south side of Sunrise Highway at Pond Road, (4060 Sunrise Highway) Oakdale, Town of Islip, NY. Failure by a firm or its representatives to attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meetings will disqualify the firm’s bid from consideration for an award. The Authority may excuse a firm’s attendance at the pre-bid conference upon a showing of an extraordinary circumstance that prevented the firm or any of its representatives from attending the conference. Revised 1/8/2026 - The Authority will hold a second Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting starting at 1:00p.m. on January 15, 2026, to discuss the specifications/requirements of the contract, inspect existing site conditions, and to address questions relating to the subject project. The meeting will be held at the Oakdale Complex, located on the south side of Sunrise highway at Pond Road, (4060 Sunrise Highway) Oakdale, Town of Islip, NY. Firms who attended the Mandatory Pre-Bid on January 6, 2026, are not required to attend the second pre-bid, but may attend if they choose. Failure by a firm or its representatives to attend one of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meetings will disqualify the firm’s bid from consideration for an award. The Authority may excuse a firm’s attendance at a Pre-bid meeting upon a showing of an extraordinary circumstance that prevented the firm or any of its representatives from attending either Pre-bid meeting.
