The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting statements of interest and qualifications from interested firms to provide Construction Administration and Inspection Services including, but not limited to; construction administration; construction management; construction inspection; environmental inspections; quality assurance and independent assurance; material sampling, testing and certifications; surveying services; utility designation and location; plan review; constructability review; biddability review; value engineering proposal review; construction schedule and critical path method (CPM) review; delay claims analysis; cost estimating; construction document review; payment review and processing (to include all applicable documentation); provide qualified inspectors on an as needed basis to augment Construction Bureau Inspections staff; assist in training Public Works inspection staff regarding civil construction inspection best practices including State and/or Federal requirements. These services will be provided on an annual basis and renewable annually for three additional years for a total term of 4 years. The maximum amount for any work order and the annual maximum shall be in accordance with § 2.2-4301 of the Code of Virginia as amended. There is no guarantee of the amount of work that will be authorized.
