    Description

Valley Water is soliciting bids to document, remove, transport, disassemble, inspect, rebuild, reinstall, and test the Coyote Pumping Plant pump at 18300 Peet Rd, Morgan Hill, California, a Valley Water operated facility owned by the United States Bureau of Reclamation on the west side of Anderson Reservoir. The work includes a complete overhaul of a 24 LN 41 Worthington horizontal BB1 A foot mounted pump driven by a 2,000 HP, 720 RPM Siemens Allis motor, with the contractor furnishing all materials, incidentals, auxiliaries, and labor under prevailing wage requirements and under the direction of a trained and certificated supervisory level mechanic. The contractor must coordinate closely with Valley Water on scheduling, work progress, witness and inspections, and any deviations, while providing high resolution photo documentation of all stages and all parts from disassembly through reassembly and shipping. The contractor will remove and disassemble the unit per the specification steps, implement the specified flood prevention strategy, rebuild in accordance with Part 2 requirements, and return the rebuilt pump for reinstallation at CPP with a dimensional fit that connects to existing suction and discharge piping without modifications to existing piping or the pump base.
