    Evaluation Criteria

    • Term of Agreement
      1. The resulting Contract shall become effective upon full execution by the City and shall remain in full force and effect for a period of one year (the "Initial Term") thereafter, unless terminated earlier as provided herein.
      2. At the City’s discretion, the Contract created by this request and the resulting quotation will automatically renew for up to four successive one-year terms (each, a “Renewal Term”), unless the Contractor notifies the City in writing of its desire to terminate the Contract.  If extended, the then-current prices shall be applicable during the subsequent Renewal Term unless the Contractor notifies the City in writing of any rate increase 60 days before the expiration date and the City approves the increase with an authorized signature, prior to the end of the then-current term.
      3. By consenting to a Renewal Term, Contractor shall be deemed to affirmatively assert that (i) the City is not currently in default, nor has been in default at any time prior to the Renewal Term, under any of the terms or conditions of the Contract and (ii) any and all Contractor claims, known and unknown, relating to the Contract and existing on or before the commencement date of the Renewal Term are forever waived.
    • Crane Operator and Crane Rental

      The City of Avondale is seeking quotes for the furnishing of various sizes of cranes and operators to be used on an as-needed basis during a one-year contract period with four, one-year renewal options.

      Cranes and associated equipment are periodically needed by the City for short periods of time throughout the year. It is preferred that such equipment be locally available for fast ‘on-call’ use by the City. All cranes shall be provided with a trained operator to perform work as designated by a City supervisor/employee.

      Equipment and operators shall be available 24 hours per day throughout the year for events that must be performed during low traffic conditions or for emergency repairs.

      The City reserves the right to reject equipment or equipment operators who the City’s job site supervisor determines is not complying with applicable safety protocols and to request an immediate replacement from the Contractor. Any down-time while waiting for a replacement will not be charged to the City for either equipment or operator.

    • Service Completion

      The resulting Contract shall become effective upon full execution by the City and shall remain in full force and effect until the Contractor has completed all required services no later than [insert date], unless terminated earlier as provided herein.

    • Operator Qualifications

      All equipment operators utilized by the City shall be fully trained and proficient in the safe operation of the equipment within the limits of its capabilities. Operators shall also maintain all required licenses and certifications for the operation of equipment. The City reserves the right to request documentation of licenses, certifications and training of operators. No operator shall operate equipment in an unsafe manner or operate equipment that has known defects or mechanical problems.

    • Service Requirements

      Contractor shall:

      • Provide equipment and Operators for fast 'on-call' or be available for scheduled use by the City.
      • Make reasonable efforts to accommodate service requests.
      • Coordinate the schedule of services with the City Department Representative.
      • Provide services as scheduled and agreed upon with the City Department Representative.
      • Notify the City Department Representative at least 24 hours ahead of the scheduled start time if there are any delays.
      • Ensure the City Department Representative agrees and approves any delays.

    • Applicable Laws and Standards

      Contractor and employees shall ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and guidelines associated with the industry represented in the contract.

      Vehicles shall conform in all respects to all applicable Federal and State of Arizona Highway Department Regulations, Statues, Ordinances, and laws for lights, safety, equipment, and emissions controls. Vehicles shall also be in compliance with all applicable OSHA requirements.

      All crane rental trucks offered, at the time of rental, shall be properly licensed and titled in the lessor’s name or business in accordance with the State of Arizona Statutes.

      The Contractor shall be required to furnish crane rental truck(s) that are in good mechanical condition. Failure of the vehicles furnished will be cause for termination of the Agreement for default
