    Description

The Dacono Sidewalk Repair Program was created to address potential trip hazards or defective sidewalks throughout the city in an effort to prevent possible injury and maintain the integrity of the city's walkability. This program includes the inventory of all city sidewalks and the classification of necessary repairs into categories ranging from low to high severity. Please review the bid documents to find the bid tab which includes, sidewalk removal and replacement, curb and gutter removal and replacement, chase drain removal and replacement, epoxy crack sealing, and grouting. The city is seeking unit pricing for the items in the bid tab and will address the most severe sidewalk defects until the budget has been met. Trip Hazard - This category denotes the shifting or settling of a slab creating a trip hazard. Many of these repairs will be addressed by cutting/grinding out the trip hazard, some may be addressed by full slab removal and replacement. Cracks - This category denotes substantial cracking in the sidewalk slab. Some of these may be addressed by sealing with epoxy, others grinding, and some full slab replacement. Chunk(s) Missing - This category denotes concrete chunks missing from the sidewalk slab. These areas will be addressed by slab removal and replacement. Curb and/or Gutter Repair - Some of these include chips missing which can be addressed by grouting. Other more severe defects will be addressed by removal and replacement. Chase Drain Repair - These will involve the removal and replacement of concrete and a chase drain. Some repairs will be addressed by cutting/grinding out the trip hazard, this bid is for everything other than cutting/grinding. Cutting/grinding shall not be included in this bid. The city has budgeted $20,000 to be spent on sidewalk repairs in 2026. The city will have the option to renew the 2026 contract for subsequent years should the winning bidder in 2026 produce satisfactory work. The city is seeking qualified bidders to perform sidewalk repairs this summer and on an on-call basis in the future. **Project Type**: RFB - Request for Bid (Formal) **Source ID**: PU.AG.USA.2454452.C18812626 **Piggyback Contract**: No **Question Acceptance Deadline**: 05/19/2026 07:00 PM EDT **Questions are submitted online**: No **Bid Submission Type**: Electronic Bid Submission **Additional Bidding Instructions**: Submit Signed Bid form and populated bid tab in the bid documents and fill out item based pricing in bidnet. **Owner Organization**: City of Dacono **Reference Number**: 0000419562 **Pricing**: Item Based **Bid Documents List**: | Item Name | Description | Mandatory | Limited to 1 file | |---|---|---|---| | Bid Documents | Documents defining the proposal | No | No | **Line Items**: | Code | Description | UOM | Qty | |---|---|---|---| | 01 | Sidewalk Removal and Replacement | Square Yard | 1 | | 02 | Curb and Gutter Removal and Replacement | Linear Foot/Feet | 1 | | 03 | Chase Drain Removal and Replacement | Each | 1 | | 04 | Epoxy Crack Seal 1/8" < 1/2" | Linear Foot/Feet | 1 | | 05 | Epoxy Crack Seal 1/2" < 3/4" | Linear Foot/Feet | 1 | | 06 | Grout Concrete Chips > 4" Diameter | Each | 1 |
