    Description

    This Project consists of demolishing and disposing of the existing, damaged backstops at Dimond Park Field #1 and Savikko Park Field #4, including all foundations and other associated buried appurtenances and replace with new Patterson Williams 19’-6” x 44’ Hooded Backstops with Three Planks – Model #1234-03. All excavation, backfill and restoration of ballfield topping to lines and grades found existing prior to construction. The Contractor shall salvage all field topping from the surface of any excavations prior to commencing any digging to remove/install fence posts or install the new fence anchoring system. Upon installation of backstops and fencing, the Contractor shall replace the disturbed ballfield surface with the salvaged field topping, regrade and compact to uniform preconstruction grades and conditions. Additional work items shall be closely coordinated with the Engineer as project funding allows: The Contractor shall demolish and dispose of the existing backstop and install the new backstop at Mendenhall River Elementary Baseball field per the contract documents.
