The project encompasses design, engineering, material supply, installation, and all associated electrical work for the replacement of all existing streetlights within the community. Sealed Proposals must be received by the Village Clerk by no later than May 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. (the “Proposal Submission Deadline”) at Village Hall, 655 96th Street, Bal Harbour Village, Florida 33154. 1.2 GENERAL OVERVIEW 1.2.1 PRODUCT AND SERVICES SOUGHT Bal Harbour Village’s gated residential community contains street lighting infrastructure that dates to the original plat of the community (1940s–1950s). The existing fixtures require modernization to improve visibility, enhance safety, reduce energy consumption, and elevate the overall aesthetic character of the community. The BHCA is seeking a comprehensive street lighting replacement solution that includes: Lighting design plan and engineering drawings for the entire community street network Photometric analysis and design to ensure appropriate illumination levels throughout the community, including streets, intersections, pedestrian pathways, and common areas Selection and supply of all street light fixtures, poles, arms, bases, and associated hardware LED technology with options for color temperature selection (warm white preferred) Removal and disposal of all existing street lighting infrastructure Installation of new poles, fixtures, and all associated electrical components All electrical work including wiring, conduit, connections, panel upgrades, and metering as required All necessary permitting and inspections Coordination with FPL and any other utilities as required As-built drawings and documentation upon completion Warranty on materials and workmanship Desired features and benefits of the new street lighting system include: Modern, architecturally appropriate fixtures that complement the high-end residential character of Bal Harbour Energy-efficient LED technology Improved illumination levels for enhanced safety and security Dark sky-compliant or dark sky-friendly fixtures to minimize light pollution Smart lighting capabilities (optional – Proposers are encouraged to present smart controls options such as dimming, scheduling, and remote monitoring) Minimal maintenance requirements Corrosion-resistant, marine-grade materials suitable for the coastal environment Uniform and consistent aesthetic throughout the community
