Design-Build Services for Garcia Creek Drainage Improvements Project

PROJECT SCOPE

The Project is anticipated to include:

• Stabilization and regrading of the Garcia Creek channel
• Installation of structural stabilization measures
• Placement of rock riprap and check dams
• Construction of drop structures and stilling basin
• Improvements at existing RCP outfalls
• Coordination with existing utilities
• Site restoration and erosion control

The City will be responsible for acquiring all required easements. The Design-Build firm shall assist by identifying any additional easement needs based on final design.

The Project scope is intended to refine and implement the improvements shown in the 30% plans, not to expand beyond those limits.

 

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The selected Design–Build firm shall provide services necessary to deliver the Project, including:

• Advancing the 30% plans to construction-ready documents
• Structural and civil design to support the proposed improvements
• Preparation of construction plans and specifications
• Cost estimating and scheduling
• Construction of the proposed improvements
• Project closeout documentation
• Provide value engineering recommendations to improve cost efficiency and constructability where appropriate
• Engineering analysis shall be limited to what is necessary to support design refinement and construction. A full hydrologic or watershed study is not required.
