The Proposer awarded the contract through this Request for Proposal (RFP) will be responsible for providing culturally responsive services outlined in this RFP to tribal domestic abuse programs providing domestic violence services within and to members of the federally recognized tribes in Wisconsin. The Department of Children and Families (DCF) currently contracts with seven tribal nations to provide comprehensive domestic violence services. The Tribal DV Training & TA program services must provide training on domestic violence topics, including current best practices, the judicial system, legal issues, changes in law, the impacts of domestic violence on Native American cultures, and other topics identified by tribal agencies, tribal domestic abuse programs, and/or DCF. It is imperative the Proposer awarded the contract through this RFP thoroughly understands culturally specific approaches to support victims and survivors served by tribal domestic abuse in Wisconsin. The State as represented by DCF intends to use the results of this RFP to award a single contract for the Tribal DV Training & TA program.
