The project also includes Additive Alternate Bid work at Lighthouse Beach Park for the replacement and repair of additional dune walkover and boardwalk structures.

The work generally includes the demolition of designated existing structures; construction of new dune walkovers, ramps, and boardwalks, installation of foundations, framing, decking, railings, and associated appurtenances as shown on the construction plans. New structures shall be constructed utilizing pressure-treated wood framing and TanDeck composite high-density polyethylene (HDPE) lumber, or an approved engineer-equal material, for decking and guardrail components to provide long-term durability and resilience within the coastal environment.

Any existing structure identified for repair, modification, or extension shall utilize materials that match the existing TanDeck decking and railing system to maintain consistency in appearance, performance, and functionality.

All work shall be performed in accordance with the approved construction plans, technical specifications, permit conditions, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to protect adjacent dune systems, native vegetation, wildlife habitat, and environmentally sensitive areas throughout the duration of the project.
