    Description of Services - Electric On-Call Services

    New Braunfels Utilities (“NBU”), a municipally-owned utility, invites responses to this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) from qualified firms interested in providing overhead and underground electric on-call services (the “Services”), on an as needed basis, to NBU’s 12,470/7200-volt electric system (the “Project”). NBU’s electric system comprises a service area of approximately 160 square miles, and serves approximately 65,000 residential, commercial, and industrial electric meters. The electric system includes 619 miles of overhead distribution line, 285 miles of underground distribution line, 11 substation/metering points on the transmission system, and other buildings, equipment, stores, and related facilities.

The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening.

      The contract shall be executed by the successful bidder and shall be returned, together with the Payment Bond, Performance Bond and Certificate(s) of Insurance to New Braunfels Utilities so that it is received within 14 working daysafter the bidder has received the contract for execution. Failure to do so shall be just cause for forfeiture of the proposal guaranty.
