Partner Opportunity – Certified M/WBE Firms (New York State) We are seeking New York State (NYS)-certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) to partner with us as subcontractors on IFB#OPWE2601 – Switchgear Testing – Wende Correctional Facility. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Project Overview: The facility is powered by one (1) incoming 34.5kV utility electrical service and includes medium-voltage switchgear, protective relays, standby generators, automatic transfer switches, transformers, battery systems, and associated distribution equipment requiring inspection, testing, maintenance, and operational verification. The scope includes: Testing, maintenance, and Partial Discharge of 15kV vacuum circuit breakers, protective relays, automatic transfer switches, facility transformers, fused switch enclosures, control power transformers, battery banks and chargers, analog metering systems, and visual inspections of electrical distribution systems across multiple facility buildings. The project also includes providing and operating portable generators to maintain critical facility operations during scheduled outages, installation of UL-listed infrared windows in incoming switchgear, and support for outage coordination and temporary power connection. In addition, the contract requires delivery of Arc Flash Safety Awareness Training in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and National Fire Protection Association 70E (2024), along with Portable Generator Connection Training for facility personnel.
