The contractor will be responsible for removing the existing irrigation system and providing all materials, labor and equipment necessary to install a new irrigation system. The city has prepared an in-house design of the proposed irrigation system which will retain the existing points of connection (POC) to the backflow prevention (BFP) equipment and the raw water supply from the Yampa River pumphouse. The new system will be constructed fully with fused high-density polyethylene (HDPE) mainline and lateral line piping. The new in-ground components will be integrated into the existing Hydropoint/Baseline control platform, hydrometers and additional sensors. The Project’s scheduling, phasing, reclamation and timely completion is crucial to minimize conflicts with other active projects in the park and to ensure the park is ready to be reopened in the spring of 2028.
