    Yakima County is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from interested, qualified, and experienced professional firms interested in facilitating the development and consolidation of emergency communication (911) services in Yakima County, a “regional dispatch center.” Yakima County’s countywide project goals are: SAFETY: Public safety and safety of the first responses MUST be the top priority. ECONOMICS: The BEST use of taxpayer dollars to achieve public safety. EFFICIENCY & EFFECTIVENESS: Use of limited resources most efficiently and effectively and at the same time creating a positive work environment to attract and retain quality talent. UNITY: Decisions about governance will be made together, as Yakima County. This included all users of the 911 communications system, both responders and the public.
