AI Summary
Riverside County seeks licensed vendors for Enhanced Intensive Services Foster Care to provide specialized, trauma-informed care for youth with behavioral and emotional challenges, establishing reserved beds for temporary or emergency placements.
1.1 PURPOSE: The County of Riverside Purchasing and Fleet Department on behalf of Riverside County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) is seeking licensed Enhanced Intensive Services Foster Care (E-ISFC) vendors to provide specialized services to Riverside County youth and children. 1.2 BACKGROUND: DPSS’s Children's Services Division (CSD) has seen an increased demand to provide Intensive Services Foster Care to children/youth in need of higher level of care. These children/youth are often difficult to match to an initial placement suitable to their needs due to their behavioral and emotional challenges. E-ISFC placement can provide intensive support to them as soon as they enter or re-enter foster placement and receive trauma informed care that emphasizes physical, psychological and emotional safety for both clients and providers, and helps survivors rebuild a sense of control and empowerment. 1.3 GOAL: The goal of this RFI is to establish a limited number of beds throughout Riverside County, and surrounding areas, that are reserved specifically for E-ISFC Placement of children/NMDs in this situation.
SLED stands for State, Local, and Education. These are solicitations issued by state governments, counties, cities, school districts, utilities, and higher education institutions — as opposed to federal agencies.
