SLED Opportunity · NORTH CAROLINA · CITY OF CHARLOTTE
AI Summary
City of Charlotte seeks environmental permitting services for urban projects including stormwater, flood control, and municipal infrastructure. Projects vary in scale and require compliance with federal and state environmental regulations. RFQ open from Jan 6 to Feb 3, 2026.
Provide environmental permitting services for City projects in accordance with the requirements of Sections 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act, the North Carolina State Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, and other relevant federal/state regulations. Typical projects will consist of stormwater flood control, maintenance, and water quality projects. Additional projects may consist of transportation, neighborhood improvement, municipal infrastructure, and various special projects. All projects occur within the City of Charlotte and therefore are subject to the constraints and challenges of working in an urban setting. Projects requiring 401/404 permit submittals will range from small-scale storm water maintenance projects with minimal impacts, to watershed-scale flood control projects with larger impacts to multiple features. For smaller projects, the City will issue detailed task orders with a pre-defined scope. These task orders will require minimal Consultant coordination and will typically specify a submittal of draft deliverables to the City within 10 business days. For larger and more complex projects, the City will consult with the firm to establish appropriate scope, schedule, and fees. The project duration for larger projects may span several years and may require environmental consulting services during project feasibility, planning, and/or design.
