NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: The Suffolk County Water Authority (“SCWA”) is interested in seeking the names and qualifications of law firms interested in representing the SCWA in matters involving contamination or threatened contamination of its wells and groundwater drawn therefrom. Representation services include commencing litigation against manufacturers, distributors, and end users of chemicals and surrogates identified in groundwater or produced by SCWA wells. The firm(s) will be required to provide ancillary services including strategic counsel on regulatory compliance, access to resources with forensic, investigatory, fate and transport modeling capabilities to identify potential responsible parties causing or contributing to the impact(s). The matter(s) may range from site, or wellfield(s) specific, impacts attributable to an event, or series of events, to pervasive system wide impacts. The selected firm or firms will be expected to provide holistic and comprehensive representation to the SCWA.
