Meal Preparation & Nutrition Compliance● Provide ready-to-eat supper meals daily to all participating sites● Meals must meet:○ Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) requirements○ All applicable federal and state nutrition standards● Meals must include:○ Balanced components (protein, grain, fruit/vegetable, dairy)○ Milk (1% or non-fat, including non-fat flavored milk where allowed) or water● Accommodate:○ Special dietary needs (medical)○ Age-appropriate portions (TK–12)B. Meal Packaging & Food Safety - Vendor will deliver items at the required temperature.● Meals must be:○ Individually packaged○ Clearly labeled (including dietary accommodations if applicable)● Packaging requirements:○ Hot items packaged together○ Cold items packaged together○ Delivered as a complete meal set○ Provide the necessary utensils, napkins, and trays in sufficient quantity for the number of mealsordered.● Ensure:○ Proper temperature control during transport○ Compliance with all food safety regulations○ No on-site reheating or cold storage required.
